#moviemarathonday: Bill Murray

You know I love Bill Murray, don’t you? So what about dedicating him this week’s movie marathon? The choice was very very difficult because he made a lot of films in his life and everyone is unforgettable. But I finally selected three of them, Rotten Tomatoes agrees with me about their beauty. Three comedies today.

  • What about Bob, 1991, directed by Frank Oz, with Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss. This movie is not well-known in Europe and I don’t know why. It’s about something very serious, schizophrenia, described in a pleasant way. “Roses are red/ violets are blue/ I’m a schizophrenic/ and so am I”
  • Groundhog day, 1993, directed by Harold Ramis, with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. This story has been used a lot of time, everyone knows it. The same day repeated everyday, forever.
  • The life aquatic of Steve Zissou, 2004, directed by Wes Anderson, with Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Cate Blanchett. Wes Anderson is my favourite movie director, also because he loves Bill Murray as I do.

If you love Bill Murray too, write me, we can found a club!
